You know the part that you have to crank on that has the teeth on it to tighten the belt? The AAN has a serpentine belt so its a bit different because of the pulley and the adjuster bracket hole. Its bigger than the 7A and i was hoping the 3B had the same alternator...

My Coupe Quattro alternator bit the dust, and i have this Urs6 alternator. looks like the dimensions are the same as far as mounting goes, but the adjuster bracket that goes to the 7A has a smaller hole for the screw to fit in. So if i swap out the alternators to install the AAN one on the 7A, with swapped out pulleys, then i wont have to spend 200$ or so on a new alternator.

man i hope that made sense...

all in all, i need to know what the diameter and size screw the 20vt 3B engine uses for the alternator. Because i might need that for my alternator and pulley swap.

i swapped the pulleys from the Urs6 alternator and the 7a alternator.
