Vehicle shipping debacle

So. In the event that my rs6 does not sell, I need to decide which vehicle I want to ship to Hawaii. I will only be shipping one (one is free for me, second would be 1500).

So it's the 200 or the RS6. Which one should I ship? I have a place to keep one which it would be ran regularly and taken care of.

Pros to shipping the 200:
I want it more than the RS6 I would think
I can still try to sell the RS6 while I leave it back with family
I like the 200 more
I havent driven it for 2 years now and I'd like to
It would be more fun

Pros to shipping the RS6:
It's nicer
It would be easier to get/find parts for generally speaking (A6 are fairly common)
Potentially less problems
I would 6 speed swap it out there as a project

Cons to shipping 200:
None I can think of

Cons to shipping RS6:
Leaves 200 with my parents, which has more potential and care needed other than firing her up, letting her run and warm up and drive it around. The RS6 is more of a normal car I guess you could say to leave with someone

Thoughts? All suggestions welcome. I really do not know which I would rather have in Hawaii with me.

Leave the Rs6 to sell/family use, bring the 200 to enjoy it/tinker with it. Eventually it sounds like you want to sell the rs6, so I would think shipping it to have to ship it back to sell it doesn't make much sense.

I think you'll have a lot of fun with the 200 on the island

The word you were looking for is dilemma. Not debacle. I was worried when I read the topic title.

I thought something bad had happened.

Ship the RS6 over to Hawaii…There are not a lot of RS6's over there and the car would command a premium…$$$$$$

Is the move to Hawaii temporary?

If so, how about leave both cars here and buy one there that's better suited to the climate... ie some sort of convertible?

I am going to be there for at least 3 years. At 3 years I have a chance (more likely than not) to change where I will be working. elsewhere if I want to. I actually wanted to get myself into a jeep out there. What I really want is an old Toyota Landcruiser (fj80) and they are pretty popular out there (or any old yota trucks in general).

I did see a silver RS6 on craigslist Hawaii a couple months ago, and that was it. It was selling for a good amount of money considering the miles she did have.

So the dragway on Oahu shut down in 06 that I learned a while back. There is a dragway in Maui which is fairly close by plane/boat. There is a ferry that transports people/cars for a good price, but that shut down in 09. So no options for drag racing there. :drive:

Maybe I can sand drag the 200 though....
