220vt slowly turning into a stroker, pic heavy

Hello everyone,
After a long time luring around topics (specially in Projects) I decided finally to post my own.
This is mostly due to loxxrider and amd is the best, after seeing what you guys have accomplished I also had to reach to the sky and get myself a 20vt 200.
The one I managed to get my hands on (after a few tries along the years) might be one of the best around here (this might be an overstatement) as it seems to pull nicely over 2.0 bars of press (29 psi).
The car has had 1 owner in Germany and 3 here in Finland, 2 of them somewhat hardcore audi fanatics. I'm the third of that kind.
The car has
AAN ecu in 3B engine
1.8 coils
Eagle rods
Spec stage 3+ cluch
993tt porche "big reds"
RS2 exhaust header
BN-Pipes exhaust
550 siemens deca injectors
k26/27 turbo
Bosch 044 pump in tank
LOTS of boost
384hp/~500nm by previous owners, i'm hoping for more.
I'm planning on going to vems and e85.

Welcome aboard!
Sounds like you've got a great base car on your hands - post up some pics when you have time

Woohoo! I love seeing new 200 projects on this forum! With all the small chassis/UrS cars, they tend to be the underdogs, but this sounds like a riot! Can't wait to see some pics.
It's kinda funny; loxxrider and amd is the best were the two who got me into the game too.

Glad to have you here, welcome!
Also, glad my 200 was some inspiration for you. I'm sorry it hasn't progressed much lately! I hope to change that this year.
I've been in an urS4 with k27 turbo at 29 psi. It was a lot of fun. E85 and VEMS will really help you make that power and them some safely. Have fun and I look forward to more information on this car soon

Thanks for the many welcomes.
Currently I don't have many good pictures of the car, but I managet to find some from my phone..
These are all from last summer and the car is currently in winter storage.
(Crazy to keep quattro in winter storage, I know, but maybe next winter after some fixes..)
This one has the "USA front bumpers" which are kinda rare over here.

- Missing a trim piece from front left corner below side reflector.

And Custom Auto Craft red rear lights of course.

The car needs some suspension and drivetrain fixes, I can hear loud bang when going from on throttle <-> off throttle.
Bangs and clunks will be dealt with once the snow is gone and I get the car on lift, I already bought some aid from 034.

- 034 first aid

Accidentaly bought new rims for this one as well from Audi Tradition. Audi OEM BBS CH028.
I might try these or sell these, not a 100% sure yet.

Heres one bad pic from engine bay.. Needs a clean up + something more.

Can't wait to get this one back on the road.

That's a really nice looking 200. A worthy addition to the t44 mafia here at the project pad

Isnt this Jukkas old? It was beautiful with oz wheels

Yep, this one is Jukkas old.
Turbo gives quite a kick, and I think it's fun. It starts to spool around 3krpm if I remember correctly..
It could be faster with more steady boost from lower rpm's, but I'm not planning to go racing with this one.
And I agree with the OZ wheels, they were stunning. Maybe some day...

Got this one out of winter storage and back to garage at last.

Some problems had arisen though, the spark had gotten lost over winter.
So after checking timing marks, the pin on flywheel and all ground wires that I could find, the engine finally started.
I might need to redo the wiring for the coils..
If all goes according to plan, I'll check the compression tomorrow..
This happened last fall, the reason for compression testing:

Bosch FR5DP.

But, because I need to do the same mistakes over and over again before I learn something, I got new Bosch plugs.

Okay, so got the compression tested.

So first cylinder from the timing belt is the poorest on both measurements. Oh, and the measures are in BAR.
Cyl 1 also has run on lean according to the plug, I need to get the injectors cleaned..
This might be a good excuse to get bigger injectors and more powa maybe...?
How far can I get with the 550cc dekas and E85?
Could the poor compression be due to the cylinder running lean for a while?
Or could I just have some clogged valves on 1 cylinder for some reason? Or..?
Leak down test might be in place here..
The destroyed Bosch plug was on cyl 4 last summer, so no clear indicators IMO from damages that the plug could have caused..
Missed a bullet there.

OK, so some update here as well...
Situation is as follows:

- WP_20150320_006.jpg (499.28 KiB) Viewed 57250 times
And the summer is coming fast. (D'oh!)
Painted some bits and bobs, but failed miserably.

Turns out I need to keep the hood closed from now on..
Found out that the radiator is busted and ordered full aluminium one from ebay.
There apparently is no alternative source for radiator/water hoses apart from 034 silicone set?
While taking radiator off I might have done some serious damage to the a/c cell in front of rad.. Now thinking to remove the whole a/c as it needs almost new everything to work properly.
Also need new washer fluid tank before taking this back to road.. The old one has turned into glass or some sort.
While taking everything apart I found out that this one is assembled mainly using drill screws and with electrical miracles as this:

- WP_20150320_007.jpg (421.91 KiB) Viewed 57250 times
This one has also had xenons at some point..

- WP_20150317_007.jpg (624.47 KiB) Viewed 57250 times
But never again.

Ok, so the wires are mostly sorted now.
Got rid of all of those horrible connections and made somewhat a harness for lights in bumper.
Might still redo the coil wires at somepoint as they seem a bit odd...
Do you guys have any hints on the waterhoses?
The 034 set seems expensive even thought it would have all the hoses...

Not sure if they have a set for the 3B but try Roose Motorsport in the UK. The guys on S2forum like them a lot.
