My daughter has found a job in Austin Texas, she needs to be there to start on July 6.
Next Saturday' she and I are heading out with the '99 A4 that she's been driving for the past 5 years.
The car has 230k miles and other than the time the left cv joint came loose it has been a pretty good car.

I'm a little concerned about the car making there but more concerned about moving 1500 miles away.

She's got a clue, several years ago she was the mechanic taking care of 30 bikes on a 4000 mile 70 day coast to coast ride. Everybody else asked her silly things like how much air to out the support van tires etc.

Sure it has got to be rough but it is the day of the car and credit card, not stagecoach and gold nuggets. She will be fine. I promise.

No harm in taking the car in to a trusted shop to have them go over it with the finest tooth comb they have in their possession... maybe look around your daughters new area for a reputable shop as well.

Miles mean nothing vs condition/maintenance...

Jack - I'd have your shop thoroughly go through the cooling and AC systems before the move. Other than that, normal maintenance
