im trying to start my car with not much luck (didnt have much time lately), i got my base config from Marc, thank you

7A camshaft;7A FPR (4bar);Siemens deka 60lbs injectors;Volvo turbo, k24 machined hosing, rs2 exhaust manifold;NTC IAT sensor;Rear crank VR sensor;fuel type: 91 pump gas;wastegate spring size: stock;3B engine but has CPS on the front, LS2 coils

config: http://quattro4life.com/download/vems/c ... e2.vemscfg
trigger log: http://quattro4life.com/download/vems/v ... triggerlog
vemslog: http://quattro4life.com/download/vems/c ... e2.vemscfg
60-2: http://quattro4life.com/download/vems/14.jpg

wanted the trigger zero'd in

- removed spark plugs
- removed injector connectors
- set Under tools->ignition lock value to 0.25
- set TDC after 60
- connected the timing light, 12V+, ground, and the signal to the #1 spark plug wire
and no flashing, no spark :(

Looking for some advice, wisdom here, where to start, what to check.
(tomorrow after work, i can check the voltage at the coils, just to make sure its good)
Thank you!

ps: if i could start the car, i could bring it to bbq

I'm not sure if .25 will work, I always used a value of 1-5 to lock the timing. I don't have a laptop with me but the settings you want to change are in the primary or secondary trigger settings, whatever has that fancy timing wheel is the easiest way to change it. Just keep adjusting it until you get the light flashing where the tdc marks line up. You can't really damage anything, but I would disconnect the injectors until it's timed. Nothing like washing down a fresh engine build with fuel!

Oh I understand now I think. You have it timed but are not getting any spark?

Hey Mat,

No, it s not timed
The while story started with finding the correct timing, but no sparked.
Could the no spark caused by very bad timing?
(injector connectors were removed)
Thank you

First is to get a spark. Then time it. Timing had no effect on spark. Try the timing light on other cylinders to see if you get anything. Next, verify the wiring of the PNP connector is actually connected to the outputs you have selected.

I have 12V+ at the coils
GND is good
How can I check for the signal from the ecu?

Output test. Once again I don't have VEMS in front of me but you can pull a plug, set it on a valve cover or whatever for a ground, and then have someone look as you hit test. You should hear the coil click as well. No spark or click means something is wrong.

I tested the harness till the coils, installed an LED. Its flashing when I hit the test button. I set the correct order.

After that, Ive put a spark park to each plug wires one by one and tested for spark, its OK
So I though its all good, i put a spark plug into #1 plug wire, cranked the car, no spark.

Sum: I have spark in output test mode, but dont have when im cranking it.
What could it be, the config?
Thank you!

Jim, if i could fire this thing up... i could make it to BBQ

Huston, we have spark!!!

It was the config, trigger edge needs to be falling for Hall sensor.
