Danny boy's 20v 7a turbo of death build!

Been cruising this forum for a couple/three years, Motorgeek is dead and full of spam, so I might as well post my latest project on here:
As you can see in my sig, I have 2 '84 Audi's one is the street legal coupe with an N/A 2.6L 20v running 034 1C and E85, I track it more than I drive it on the street, I decided to go full racecar hence the 4000q R.C.O.D. (racecar of death!). Here's an old build thread going back three + years on the car: https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/build-projects-and-project-cars/1984-audi-4000-quattro-of-dilapidation/62328/page1/

The basic setup: suspension, brakes, drivetrain, interior, safety (it'll need a new cage at some point), is done. So the last major step is the engine!
Vital stats on the build:
300-350 reliable whp (350-400 crank hp). on E85, track only so will always be running it hard and at full boost! I'm really after minimal lag, big flat torque curve.
Car with driver should weight about 2,700lbs.
Early (?) 7a (it came with a header instead of the cast manifold), stock rods and pistons, ARP rod bolts, basic rebuild, hone, rings, coated bearings, valve job, 3B water manifold machining (HANK!!) on head, block drilled for turbo oil return line, ARP head studs. Currently have steel head gasket, considering doing a comp. dropping gasket to 9.5:1 or 9:1
3B intake, 3B valve cover, 3" downpipe with 5 bolt T3 flange (thanks Wiley!), two 034 "crack 'o matic" welded tube header with T3 flange (thanks Jim and Wiley!), 034 mount bracket, stock wastegate with 2bar spring (thanks Jim), 044 hi flow fuel pump, 60# injectors, 034 1C, 034 aluminum flywheel.

Yet to be purchased/decided: turbo: GT2871R (do I need the anti surge housing?) T3 flange 5 bolt outlet
Intercooler size and placement
boost controller: looking at the Innovate SCG-1 http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/scg1.php
Crankcase vent system/catchcan
clutch, spec stage 2+?

Ahhh...... :-( no dice, only about a week away, maybe something local in late April with the coupe.
BTW, I'm looking for some ARP rod bolts, ARP is out, you know of any sources??

034?

2Bennett?

EuroSpec?

They should all be local suppliers with a good line on what you need...

That is, to say nothing of others like:

IMS

EFI-Express

FRP

Integrated Engineering as well.

Why do you need rod bolts anyways? Using stock rods? They usually come with aftermarket rods. That's one way to get them :)

Stock rods and pistons, insurance policy: ARP head bolts, steel head gasket, ARP rod bolts, coated bearings and E85!

BTW, I called my bro's at Techtonics, they had ARP's for the 16v, same as the 7A, $139 shipped!!

Why not do rods as insurance while you've got everything apart?

My understanding is, at the power levels I want, it's not worth the xtra $600 to $1,000
Also, If I do rods, then I might as well do pistons... another $1,000

You must have better self control than most people here then if you'll be able to keep from wanting more power! :D

for some reason i though its a 3b block with 3b internals, but its not.
you like to live on the edge if you gonna run:
7a stock rods and pistons, and 300-350 reliable whp (350-400 crank hp). on E85, track only so will always be running it hard and at full boost!
but time will tell

My plan is 300-350 Crank HP.
Eventually, I want to qualify for NASA "GTS" series, it's all based on power to weight, so might actually have to tune DOWN the engine to meet the 10:1 weight to power ratio for my class (2,700lbs.=270whp)!
