i recently picked up a whole 2006 jetta, it runs and drives. im wondering what all i have to remove from the car for a swap into a small chassis audi. im not using VEMS, i plan on using the OEM ME7 management that currently runs the engine to install it naturally aspirated for now. off the top of my head are the parts listed below.
-engine
-wiring harness
-ECU
-throttle pedal
-CAN gateway module
-the power supply box under the hood
these are the things i can think of from when i FSI swapped an MK2 GTI. i know there will be a bunch of magic involved with making the receiving car's electronics mesh and work. im not interested in aftermarket stuff that may need bought like engine mounts, oil pans etc. i will be hand fabricating them parts myself. im just concerned in what needs to come off of this jetta so anything you might know of to add to the list would be great! thanks guys.
