i need to drop the Oil pan on my 7A CQ, which of course leads to a doing a bunch of other stuff just because I'm in there.

I've got New subframe bushings, HPR street density engine transmission and differential mounts.
I'm using PowerFlex bushings for stuff that HPR does not make.
I'm going to have powder coat as much stuff as I can afford

So while I've got this all apart I'm I got a set Weitek lowering springs and matching shocks.
inthinking I should also replace the top strut mounts.

Miele HD mounts are inexpensive, Sachs will cost me about four times as much.
A Miele heater core left a bad taste in my mouth a few years ago, should I avoid Miele strut mounts?

This is a street car with stock performance levels,

Thanks for the guidance.

Jack

Mace of VAP fame only recommended Sachs, FWIW. That was for use with his MountSavers but I'd assume there were underlying reasons why he built his inserts using Sachs as a template in the first place.

I can't remember exactly, but there was one brand that was a suitable replacement. Want to say Boge. Could be wrong.

Looks like it's boge, I found this page,
http://www.audiworld.com/forums/audi-90-80-coupe-quattro-cabriolet-22/long-term-stress-testing-oem-strut-mounts-manufacturer-2116833/

Now I need to find a boge vender.

I'm really glad i asked!
